Animal Assisted Therapy
Getting outside and getting back to nature is what our therapeutic farm is all about. We recognise the benefits that fresh air and the great outdoors can bring to both physical and mental health. Being with nature provides a natural environment to release stress, relax and just take time to just breathe.
Combined with the benefits of the outdoors, we have a team of trained therapy sheep and alpaca friends and offer Animal Assisted Therapy sessions in our paddock. The session is supported by a trained therapist and involves time spent building a relationship with our animal team members whilst working through your own goals.

Our animal friends can provide a sense of calm and a diversion from stressful situations whilst they are being worked through. It is all about learning how to grow, nurture and encourage yourself, at your own pace.

The therapists role is to support you to recognise 'the stresses and strains' individual to you and work with you to build a toolkit for self cultivation.

Self cultivator = Somebody who grows, nurtures, educates and encourages themselves to advance and flourish
Our sessions are bespoke to the individual attending. We specialise in supporting people with additional needs. Our programme supports people with social and emotional goals including building on communication skills.

Sessions take place in our animal paddock accompanied by our therapy sheep and alpacas. Please get in touch to discuss your individual requirements. Sessions last up to approximately 1 hour. However, this may be too long for some people initially and a bespoke plan will be devised to suit you.

There is no charge for these sessions and you are welcome to book a one off session or a block of up to 6 sessions. If you would like to give a donation, all donations are used to continue to fund 'Farming for Wellbeing' activities.
